Guests Comments about Noce Cottage
We stayed in the Noce cottage. The cottage is 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom, well equipped and clean. It has a private terrace with table, chairs and parasol with stunning views and a peaceful setting. There is also a swimming pool with plenty of seats and sun beds.
The local village, Casole d'Elsa has some restaurants and bars and a couple of small shops. It is possible to walk, but it was very hot so we always took the car, plenty of parking spaces. There is a large supermarket in Colle di Valle D’elsa, which is about 20 minutes by car and has a good selection of local produce.
Whilst there we visited Volterra and San Gimingnao, well worth visiting. Both about 30 minutes by car.
We would definitely stay at Podere Monti again. Federica and family are very welcoming and helpful.

We're back in England now, dreaming of this time last week when we stayed at one of Tuscany's jewels, Casa Podere Monti which nestles alongside Casole d'Elsa. We rented a delightful cottage here in the most beautiful location with breathtaking views over the valley and up towards Casole d'Elsa which is just a short walk away; an inspirational place steeped in history, bursting with creativity and blessed with great places to eat and drink.
Casa Podere Monti is perfectly situated to visit many, many interesting and beautiful places, we even went to the coast one day and kept stopping along the way to Look at the fantastic wild flowers which must be at their best right now along with some gorgeous poppy laden meadows. What made our stay extra special though was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts Frederica and her parents. They could not have made us more welcome, they were so friendly and helpful and the love and care that they put into their accommodation and in making sure their guests have everything they need and a wonderful time is evident everywhere and in everything from the bright yet cosy furnishings, the beautifully planted pots and borders around the properties to the perfectly maintained swimming pool which sits in a sublime sunny spot with an exceptionally stunning view.
Frederica is a font of knowledge and only too happy to advise and help arrange outings, transport and to make suggestions. We will definitely visit Casa Podere Monti again, I am already telling my friends and family that they must go, my only regret is that this was our first visit and that we haven't been before!!
