San Gimignano 1300 is a museum was formed in reaction to the project to reconstruct a faithful model of what was once the medieval city. The main attraction is the huge ceramic model made after two years of study of historical sources and two more years of work of five craftsmen. This museum in 2011 was sponsored by Unesco.Walking through the village you can not not see the beauty of Pratellesi Palace, the Town Hall and the Church of St. Augustine, famous for its frescoes.

Highly recommended is the museum of medieval torture, extremely charming.A walk to the "Rocca "  the high part with the remains of the fortress is a must. You can climb on the walls and admire an amazing view. Finally, the jewel of San Gimignano ... the ice cream shop "Dondoli" in the square of “ la Cisterna”...really famous because it has won the award for three consecutive years as the best ice cream in the world. 20 km from Casa Podere Monti, 20 min by car.
